This year the library overnight will happen on Saturday, October 20th. Our group is very full this year and we had to remove some who didn't reply to emails about attendance, which is a shame, but necessary. We are really looking forward to meeting the two groups who will join MESA and WLGC this year. The first group is Hoosier Paranormal. I have been emailing back and forth with Greg of Hoosier, and he seems like a fantastic person with some really great ideas, I hope they get some really good readings. Hoosier goes on purely Scientific Research, so we get to see all the toys they have... and if they leave one or two behind, who would notice? *grin* The other team is QuestResearch - not sure I'm spelling that correctly - add a space if it makes you comfy. I've shared a few emails with Luke, but he seems to be quite busy, so nothing lately. I hope he gets the emails I have sent out in the past few weeks or he's out of a dinner (sent links to the restaurant). He seems like a good man, so I am looking forward to working with him. He works on just equipment as well. One of the upsides to all this is we get to see how other groups work - what equipment they use and how they go about an investigation. That kind of learning is invaluable for someone - anyone. No one ever knows EVERYTHING. If you think you know everything it's time to throw in the towel.
MESA will be conducting its usual run in the Bayard room. This year, upon my suggestion, Tim agreed to also film some of my pets at the same time (We'll be using Chris's toys for that), the idea being if MESA poeaks at the same time that my rats and hamster do what I knwo they would do if someone was there etc. we may have an interesting correlation between animals and paranormal phenomena.
The pets will be two of my rats: D'Arcey and Emmy, and one of my hamsters: Snowy. Hamsters and Rats react in very particular ways to outside stimuli and will be perfect for this kind of experiment. Snowy is two years old now, and I have had a long time to get to know all her quirks. Having the huge number of hamsters I have had over the past few years (about 50), I have had time to get to know the behaviours of them in general. Rats are very social creaturesm, and when another being comes into their realm - if they aren't asleep - they will react very visibly. I'm really hoping this pans out. If it doesn, at least people will get to see how adorable some of my pets are. I know Deb will be happy to see D'Arcey and Em., they really loved meeting her.
We are planning to have a meal at Crazy Buffet in Evansville. Snowy suggested this restaurant last year and we ate there for lunch on Saturday and lunch on Sunday. The food was superb and the service was excellent. Hopefully we'll be able to say the same this year. The hotel is Days Inn East in Evansville. We have stayed there before and Patricia is wonderful. I won't lie, we've had trouble there, but it has been sorted and Patricia (we like Patricia) is always able to take care of us.
Who's going?  Who we would like to go is a different list than who has been able to.. The "who has been able to" list are all people we would like to go, but there are so many more who couldn't make it - either for time constraints, financial burdens, or family obligations (that's you Pam). Some didn't get back to me in time and had to be replaced by waiting list people. That's hard to do. this year we will have:
Belinda
Michelle
Mike S
Snowy
Randy
Tim (MESA)
Dave (MESA)
Mike (aka Lestat)
Maer
Chris
Donna
Jeff
Deb
Mark
Cheri
Lisa
I hope I'm not missing anyone. We do have some possible additions, but they would be last minute and not as likely. These people will be added to next years list. We are also expecting a few more at dinner than will be at the overnight.

Other things we hope to take in are Oak Hill and at least one other cemetery, and a haunt, if at all possible, along with another side-trip. I think it will be fun. I'll wind this up as I have a bazillion other things to do. Forgive me if I have omitted anything.
