This is the south side of the Willard Library. On the far left you can see the entrance, and in the first window on the main floor you can see the inside front door and the taller door frame which goes into the adult reading room. This is also the window beside the stair cam. The lights around the library stay on all night. You may not be able to see light coming into a room, but they are on. Between the lamp-post and the building there is a drive which surrounds the building. You can see the far curb, but not the one on this side because of the angle of the shot. It's important to note the way the security lights hit the curb, those things are what you are seeing through the window. The windows at the top showing the blue-ish lights are the research room, and the other windows (the 2 sets on the left) are a stair well and the landing. The dark windows along the bottom are steps down toward the basement/kids rooms. The partial windows you can see are the kids rooms windows and the basement. The ray of coolness in the top right corner of the picture comes from another security light. Note that these lights are never off at night.
This is your Gremlin Window, and at the bottom left you can see the rail of the balcony/landing. Just left of the frame (if you turned your body) you would look at the front door to the building below you and you would be able to see the stair cam. The wood trim is original, and you can see the incredible work and detail which went into the building of this library. Breath-taking, really!
Just for fun: This is a shot of the book which came off the shelf in 2001 and hit Chris in the back of the arm. Note that Chris put the book like this to show the name, it did not land this way. Also, the book landed much further out into the aisle. Chris was looking at books in the opposite stack when the book hit him. We figured someone was trying to get his attention. They did.
