You might ask what this site is about. Well, you see, we are fans of a library. Yes, a library. Not many libraries have fan sites, but then again, not many libraries are haunted, and not many libraries invite people to watch the library at all hours using web cams. Not many libraries have chat rooms where people come to visit day in and day out just to catch up on people they have met there, where friends become close and keep in contact for nine years. Not all libraries have such a kind and special staff or the kind of following The Willard Library has. Director Greg calls us fans of the Library - he's right!  So in honor of the Library staff,  history,  friends, and website itself we, the chatters of Willard Library, created this site  to keep those who are interested up-to-date with the day to day happenings, or month to month, as it were.

*All the 'wood' items are taken from pictures of the library. You may recognize the grapes, and the circle button from the main pillar in the entrance hall. "The Willard Library" at the top of this page is taken from the entrance sign to the library!
Snippet from www.libraryghost.com
The first reported incident happened sixty years ago to a library employee who trekked through the snowy cold for his nightly duty. Since then, countless other employees and patrons have reported seeing this apparition, each giving an eerily similar description. Is the legend true? We'll leave that for you to decide...

Page For Our Friends ~ Willard Library Ghost Spotters
At least one thing in this site has been updated as of  21 October 2009.
The Ghost chat location has been changed again. Mike is trying to get us a nice ease-of-use place to talk. The chat room on the main library page has not been well maintained for a long time and we needed better. There is a NEW PARANORMAL HOUSE site and a new chat room to go with it. Please go to the link above and register to be able to take advantage of the chat room and the articles. While the chat room has not been well frequented, there are still a lot of great articles on the paranormal.
Go check it out.  The date for 2009 Evansville is 24 October, 2009. Our group is full, but if you contact me I will put you on a list in case someone has to cancel.

Archives - Past Trips
Well it's THIS weekend! I'm so excited! So I have done what I can with this site for now. We have two chat roomms for you for the overnight, we'd love it if you could check us out. The first is Paranormal House, the link to which is below. You have to register with this site, it's to keep trolls away. The second is ZTalkRadio which has a host of talk discussions. We will be joined at the library by Scotty Rorek, who is a host on ZTalk. He came last year and he's wonderful. ZTalk does not require registration. The ZTalk chat room is available to use from 11:00 pm local time. Scotty is doing a live show from 9-11 pm . You can go to that too, if you want. Paranormal House is open all the time. ~ Maer 21 October
I have begun a Facebook page for those of us attending the library to discuss questions and answers. This DOES NOT mean that those who can't attend are not completely welcome on there. If you are not already on Facebook I think you need to make an account to participate, but it doesn't have to be a real one, you can make a throw away if you like. Facebook has an easier way to share pictures and stories, so I thought it was a good step to take. It doesn't have an all-chat, though, so we still have an issue there. Mike's site is the best bet for that (see Paranormal House below). ~Maer 21 Sept 2009
